In this Tutorial, I will show you how to jailbreak with redsn0w for the iPhone OS 3.1.3. Please be aware that you need to have updated to the 3.1.3 iPhone OS via iTunes before starting the Jailbreak.
Please remember that this Jailbreak does not support any MC model iPod Touches and does not support the iPhone 3GS (MC Model and Not).
Please do not attempt this Jailbreak if you reply on a carrier unlock for your iPhone 2G or 3G because there are no carrier unlocks for the 3.1.3

i downloaded redsnow and 3.1.2 firmware and did everything correctly but when i got to the point where it says “waiting for reboot” my ipod doesn’t flash or anything and i waited but nothing happens after then I hold the power and home button it got back to normal but it wasnt jailbroken
I would downgrade and jailbreak with blackra1n. (We have a tutorial on your site) A lot of people have been having issues with that jailbreak.
but i need the link to download the 3.1.2 firmware because the one i have right now is not compatible when i downgrade it. thanks

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong – I downloaded 3.1.2 firmware and the redsn0w 0.9.2 for my iphone…it reads the firmware but when I actually turn the phone off and start holding the power – power/home – home…I don’t get the 2 flashes of white.
Do I have to restore my phone from scratch then apply the jailbreak? Help!

I went thru all steps and my G3 iphone was accepted; now waiting for reboot for more than 30 min. Is this normal? Can you suggest some fix? Tkx
No, You might want to restore in iTunes and try it with that. If that does not work, reply back!
Excellent video, was really looking forward to the jailbreak, but the red box, “this won’t work with a model starting with ‘P’”, was a real buzz kill. Is it possible to jailbreak an iPod touch 2G, purchased 3/2009, model PB531LL a) with redsn0w 0.9.4 or b) at all? Thanks!
I do not believe that model is supported in this Jailbreak. Hopefully the Dev Team and/or GeoHot (maker of blackra1n) can come out with a jailbreak,

but im having a little problem with my iphone 3g with this jailbreak i put it in DFU mode when the first white screen pops up and it just stays like that? wat am i doing wrong?
